Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Ron Javdan, who serves the population of Los Angeles, California. Dr. Javdan graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of Isfahan in Iran in 1970, giving him over four decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his Medical Degree he relocated to the United States and completed his residency with St Luke’s Hospital. Dr. Javdan is dual certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Cardiology. He currently practices at his private practice and is affiliated with Lakewood Regional Medical Center. He holds an expertise in Cardiology and Hypertension. He attributes his professional success to being very caring and having a true love and passion for the field. Cardiology is a branch of internal medicine. A cardiologist is not the same as a cardiac surgeon. A cardiac surgeon opens the chest and performs heart surgery, whereas a cardiologist specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the cardiovascular system. The cardiologist will carry out tests and they may perform some procedures, such as heart catheterization, angioplasty or pacemaker insertion.
