The Scionti Prostate Center is fcoused on providing advanced prostate cancer diagnostic services and non invasibe prosate cancer treatment.
Prostate Cancer diagnosis incorporates the use of biomarkers such as PSA, 4K, PCA3 with advanced prostate MRI imaging to define the risk of prostate cancer BEFORE subjecting a man to prostate biopsy. If aclinically significant prostate cancer is supected, thsen MRI Fusion targeted or "Smart " biopsy is used. The Artemis technology allows prostate MRI images to be fused or regsitered to ultrasound images so that tumor regions suspected on MRI images  can be precsely targeted for biopsy.
If cancer is discovered, genomic testing is often used to characterize the behavior of the cancer cells. A personalized pathway is then created for every patient so that a balance can be achived between cancer treatment and maintain quality of life.
I have over 10 years of expereince with prostate cancer HIFU treatment and have been a pioneer in the use of MRI Fusion Guided HIFU treatment.

After checking out my options and getting opinions from 5 different urologists I feel I made the right decision by having HIFU treatment. When I was first diagnosed I was only 49 years old. Very concerned about the cancer and my quality of life with the treatment choices I was given. Surgery to remove prostate and possible side effects. Incontinence, damage to nerve bundles or complete loss of sensation. The other was radiation with similar side effects. I was only 49 and was told it grows more quickly in men under age 65. Long story short I met Dr. Scionti who discussed HIFU treatment with me and I couldn't be more pleased with the result.

The procedure went even better than expected. Dr. Scionti communicated that he felt confident that he got all of the cancer was was feeling very positive with the results. John was able to walk around, as usual, after leaving the hospital and resumed all normal activities. HE followed the post op instructions re: catheter and medicines and did not experience any challenges. John believed he had the sensation and ability to start and stop urine e same day as the procedure and this continued to be apparent despite leaving the catheter in for 7 day period. John also experienced morning erections in his normal manner without any post op changes. He is so pleased with the procedure results, the team of professionals who assisted in the operation, and Dr. Scionti himself. Our family would highly recommend Dr. Scionti and his team for services. Dr. Scionti was a real pleasure. As was his staff. Great bed side manner. Gave us very complete analysis and never made us feel rushed in our meetings. Would recommend him to anyone with prostate issues. And I have had experience with four urologists prior to Dr. Scionti, including two failed HIFUs over eight years with my prostate cancer coming back twice. He is probably the most knowledgeable urologist in the world when it comes to HIFU. My research taught me to avoid radiologists doing HIFU and avoid urologists who are not experienced enough with HIFU. Dr. Scionti is the doctor that other doctors go to learn from on HIFU. I can't say enough good about him.

Dr Scionti is outstanding. He takes time to personally discuss your healthcare as a whole. Could not be more impressed by any other physician I have seen for my current issue.
- Tom
My treatment was explained before receiving MRIs and a biopsy was only done when needed. The guided biopsy gave me peace of mind that the correct area was sampled.
