Patrick J. Boland, MD, FRCS(I), FRCS, is an established orthopedic surgeon working at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, New York. Dr. Boland is a full-time, senior member of the Orthopaedic Service, Department of Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he specializes in the management of malignant and benign tumors of the bones, including those of the spine and pelvis, and in soft tissue sarcomas of the extremities. He also has special training in limb salvage surgeryâ??that is the removal of the limb cancers while preserving a functional extremity. Dr. Bolandâ??s clinical expertise includes primary and metastatic bone cancers, soft tissue sarcomas, spine tumors, and sacral and pelvic tumors. He received his medical degree at the University College Dublin in Ireland. He served his residency at St. Vincent's Hospital-University College Dublin, Peter Bent Brigham Hospital/Harvard University, and Middlesex & Hammersmith Hospital - London University. Dr. Boland is fellowship trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and The Hospital for Special Surgery.
