  • I just got a crown fit on my teeth but it hurts a lot. Does it require re-treatment?

    Sometimes a root canal treatment is required on teeth that have crowns. Check with your Dentist, you may need a root canal in addition to the crown.   • I had some bleeding in my gums while brushing. Could it be serious?

    Bleeding while brushing is an indication of gingivitis (gum inflammation/disease) and/or Periodontitis (gum disease with bone loss). I would strongly recommend you go see a dentist for a professional evaluation and dental cleaning. That will help you. In the meantime, you can do salt water rinses at home 5 times a day for 5 days and the bleeding will reduce.     Sore gums after a dental cleaning sometimes could happen if a little more detail cleaning was needed on your last appointment compare to previous appointments you had with your dentist. I would recommend that you start rinsing with warm salt water at least 3-5 times a day for the next 3-5 days.     I first visited Dr.Escala office for regular dental check up. I explained that I have suffered from TMJ for several years. He offered a new alternative to traditional braces. He offered Clear correct to correct my TMJ. The Ortho plan was affordable and easy to maintain. I would highly recommend Dr.Escala for all dental needs. His staff team is expcepitional! Great customer service.
