Get to know Dr. Namrata Sharma Goel, who serves patients in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Goel is a nephrologist serving Houston and the surrounding communities. She holds expertise in Chronic Kidney disease, High Blood Pressure, Dialysis, Kidney Transplant, kidney stones, pregnancy Induced hypertension, and pre-ecclampsia.

She is associated with Houston Methodist – a leading academic medical center in the Texas Medical Center and six community hospitals serving the Greater Houston area. Dr. Goel received her Medical Degree (MD) from the Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica in 2003. She completed an internship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, and her residency at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School at Houston. Furthering her training she completed her nephrology fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Goel maintains a professional membership with the American Society of Nephrology. ASN leads the fight to prevent, treat, and cure kidney diseases throughout the world by educating health professionals and scientists, advancing research and innovation, communicating new knowledge, and advocating for the highest quality care for patients.

She has been awarded the Outstanding Business Leader In Healthcare by The Houston Business Journal.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine and pediatrics that concerns itself with the study of normal kidney function, kidney problems, the treatment of kidney problems and renal replacement therapy. As a nephrologist, Dr. Goel performs native kidney and transplant kidney biopsy, dialysis access insertion, fistula management, and bone biopsy.
