Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Ashli Elizabeth West, who serves patients in Prairieville, Louisiana.

Board-certified pediatrician, Dr. West, is currently serving patients at Magnolia Pediatrics in Prairieville, Louisiana. “At Magnolia Pediatrics, we know parenting is a 24/7 job, so we are available when you need us most. We offer same-day appointments to help your child feel better in no time. We strive to help your child feel comfortable and safe in our friendly environment” as stated on the practice’s website. 

Throughout her academic career, Dr. West earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and her medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She then went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at the same educational venue. 

In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and a member of the Parish County Medical Society, she is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP an independent, nonprofit organization and one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). 

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. Pediatricians examine, diagnose, and treat children of all ages with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses. They understand that children change rapidly and that they must be approached with an appreciation for their stage of physical and mental development. 

On the subject of her personal life, Dr. West was born and raised in Gonzales, Louisiana. She lives in Prairieville with her husband and their three children. Her hobbies include reading and bird watching.
