After earning his medical degree in 1996 at Faculdade de Medicina da Fundacao do ABC in Brazil, he completed his general surgery specialization with the same educational venue, followed by a trauma surgery fellowship (2008â??2010) trauma and general surgery research fellowship (2010-2011), adult critical care medicine fellowship (2011-2014), acute care surgery fellowship (2014-2016), and Masterâ??s Degree of Science (2015) at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. Additionally, in order to stay up to date on all medical advancements in his field, he maintains a professional membership with the Brazilian College of Surgeons, the Ontario Medical Association, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
