Walter Reed National Military Medical Center is proud to highlight the accomplishments of Dr. Kristen Bunch, a distinguished Gynecologic Oncology physician who is making strides in the field of women’s health. With an impressive educational background and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Bunch continues to enhance the quality of care for patients at one of the nation’s premier military medical facilities.

Dr. Bunch graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Spanish from Concordia College in 2003, followed by earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Kansas City University in 2008. Further broadening her expertise in healthcare, she completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Healthcare Leadership at Rockhurst University in the same year. These academic achievements laid the foundation for her dedicated career in Gynecologic Oncology.

Currently, as the Gynecologic Oncology fellowship program director and chief of Gynecologic Oncology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Dr. Bunch is deeply involved in advanced patient care, research, and education in gynecologic oncology. Her passion for the field is evident in her patient interactions and her commitment to staying at the forefront of medical advancements. Dr. Bunch’s success is a product of the leadership programs she has participated in and a strong support system that has encouraged her growth as a physician. At Walter Reed, Dr. Bunch is not only focused on clinical practice but also actively participates in teaching and mentoring upcoming medical professionals. Her dedication to education ensures that the next generation of healthcare providers is well-equipped to tackle the challenges in oncology.
