Qiao Zhou, MD, a Diagnostic Radiologist with Summit Radiology Services

Get to know Diagnostic Radiologist Dr. Qiao Zhou, who serves patients throughout the State of Georgia.

Recognized as a skilled diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Zhou is a part of the team of professionals with Summit Radiology Services. 

In Georgia, his hospital affiliations include Piedmont Mountainside Hospital, Cartersville Medical Center, AdventHealth Gordon, AdventHealth Murray, Fannin Regional Hospital, Piedmont Newton Hospital, Piedmont Henry Hospital, and Rockdale Medical Center.

With over three decades of experience, Summit Radiology Services consists of over 35+ board-certified radiologists who provide a full erange of diagnostic and interventional imaging services at leading hospitals and care networks throughout the region.

A 2012 graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Zhou went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at MedStar Harbor Hospital in 2013. He then completed an additional residency in diagnostic radiology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2017.

Experienced in using medical imaging techniques, g doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology by the American Board wUAp c Radiology (ABR). The ABR is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Bfctoard of Medical Specialties.

Diagnostic radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. The tests and equipment used sometimes involve low doses of radiation to create highly detailed images of an area. A diagnostic radiologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating disease and injury, using medical imaging techniques such as x-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET), fusion imaging, and ultrasound.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Zhou’s interests include cars and weightlifting.
