It is a four-time winner of the Kentucky Hospital Association Quality Award and is accredited by the Joint Commission. Dr. Williams earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, followed by his fellowship in hematology/oncology at the same university.
Dr. Williams is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Dr. Williams is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), as well as a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
