Pediatric Emergency Medicine Associates, LLC proudly announces that Kristopher Ivey, MD, a dedicated pediatric emergency medicine physician, has been serving as an attending physician in Atlanta, Georgia since July 2020. With a profound commitment to pediatric care, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice, ensuring that young patients receive the highest standard of emergency medical care.

In addition to his role in Atlanta, Dr. Ivey also serves part-time as an emergency medicine physician with the CERFP 187th Medical Group in the Alabama Air National Guard. This position, which he began in September 2022, allows him to apply his medical expertise in a military setting, further broadening his impact on community health and emergency response.

Dr. Ivey’s academic journey began at the University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2006. He continued his education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, graduating with his Medical Degree in 2012. He completed a rigorous residency in emergency medicine at Carilion Clinic-Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine from 2012 to 2015. Following this, Dr. Ivey pursued a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, from 2015 to 2018. This extensive training has equipped him with the skills necessary to handle complex pediatric emergencies with confidence and care.

Dr. Ivey is licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, Nevada, New Mexico, and Tennessee, and he is board-certified in both emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. His commitment to professional development is evident through his active membership in esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians.

As Dr. Ivey continues to excel in his dual roles, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Associates is excited about the positive impact he will have on the community and the lives of the children he serves.
