Academically, Dr. Apichai received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and earned her medical degree through the University’s College of Medicine’s Guaranteed Professional Program Admissions in 2005. She completed her residency in anatomic & clinical pathology at the University of Illinois Medical Center and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (FCAP), the doctor is board-certified in anatomic & clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.
