Get to know Clinical Pathologist Dr. Mohammad M. Yousef, who serves patients in Edgewood, Kentucky.

Dr. Yousef is a fellowship-trained clinical pathologist at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital in Kentucky.

Home to more than 10,000 associates and a medical staff of nearly 1,200 physicians and advanced practice providers, St. Elizabeth is deeply rooted in the communities in which it serves. As a Catholic healthcare ministry, it provides comprehensive and compassionate care that improves the health of the people served.

Graduating with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Jordan, Dr. Yousef relocated to the United States to further his training. He performed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Health Care, and his fellowship in cytopathology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio, the doctor is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology & cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.

Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and in some cases, the whole body. Pathologists are physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and management of diseases by laboratory methods. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Yousef speaks both English and Arabic.
