Dr. Jaramillo, a medical oncologist affiliated with Texas Oncology in North Austin, specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a wide variety of hematological and oncologic disorders. Pertaining to her educational pursuits, she completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology from The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center, as well as a residency in internal medicine from Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Spanish Literature from the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Jaramillo is committed to eliminating cancer related healthcare disparities and would like to one day devote more time to public health in order to further serve the community. She is also actively involved in professional organizations like the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Texas Society of Clinical Oncology, Texas Medical Society, and the National Hispanic Medical Association.
Dr. Jaramillo's commitment to excellence is evident through various awards, such as the Outstanding Medical Student Award and the Richard Juarez Commitment to the Community Award. Dr. Jaramillo continues to mentor premedical students in their path toward a medical career. She remains very grateful for the mentorship and guidance she received in her own journey as the first in her family to become a physician. She is committed to helping the next generation of future doctors.
Born in Bogota, Colombia, and raised in Los Angeles, she is a native Spanish speaker who values cultural diversity. She especially loves connecting with her Spanish speaking patients and is honored to guide them through their treatment journey in their native language.
