Tishangi Kumar Agrawal, MD, a distinguished cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, has launched her self-employed practice in Pasadena, California in November 2024. With a remarkable educational background and extensive experience, Dr. Agrawal is poised to make significant contributions to cardiovascular health in the community.

Her unique journey began at the Royal College of Music, where she honed her musical talents by pursuing a Diploma in Piano from 1990 to 2003. This artistic foundation provided her with a unique perspective on discipline and creativity, which she later applied to her scientific pursuits. Transitioning from music to science, Dr. Agrawal earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto, where she studied from 2003 to 2007. Her academic journey culminated in a Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2012.

After completing a rigorous residency in internal medicine at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University from 2012 to 2015, Dr. Agrawal embarked on a career as a hospitalist, gaining valuable experience at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Mayo Regional Hospital in Maine, as well as Mercy Health in Ohio. In 2016, she completed a heart failure fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, which laid the groundwork for her specialization in cardiology.

Dr. Agrawal's dedication to her field led her to work as a cardiology fellow at Carilion Clinic in Virginia from June 2017 to June 2020, followed by a fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant at Scripps Clinic in San Diego from June 2020 to June 2021. Most recently, she served as an Advanced Heart Failure & Pulmonary Hypertension Cardiologist at Foothill Cardiology Medical in Los Angeles from January 2022 to July 2024.

With multiple board certifications—including Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology—Dr. Agrawal is recognized for her expertise and commitment to patient care.
