  • Eating 13,000 calories a day to maintain weight?

Hello. You don't mention your daily activity which will have some bearing on your caloric needs. 13,000 kcalday is such a high number that it makes me question the method you are using to count calories. The only way this might be a healthy, functional amount is if you're training for Iron man competitions and regularly ride bike, swim, and run extreme distances. For a 30 year old man of your height and weight with regular activity, you should need about 2500 to 3000 calories a day to maintain your weight. If your numbers are correct and you have not noticed marked weight gain and you're not doing some sort of extreme training make an appointment with your primary doctor to discuss. There could be something medically awry affecting your metabolism. READ MORE
