Capogna Orthodontics, a family-owned orthodontic practice with offices in Garden City and North Massapequa, New York, is dedicated to providing patients of all ages with beautiful, healthy smiles in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Michael Capogna, DDS, a Long Island native, takes pride in ensuring that each patient receives individualized attention and is actively involved in every step of their orthodontic treatment. 

Capogna Orthodontics serves a wide range of communities, including Garden City, Farmingdale, Seaford, Bethpage, Plainedge, Wantagh, New Hyde Park, Floral Park, Franklin Square, and Mineola. The practice offers a variety of treatment options to meet the unique needs of each patient, from traditional metal braces to virtually invisible alternatives like Invisalign®. With a focus on personalized care, Dr. Capogna and his team work closely with patients to develop tailored treatment plans that prioritize comfort and aesthetics.

Dr. Capogna’s educational journey began at Saint Anthony’s High School before he attended Boston College, where he double majored in Biology and Human Development. He returned to Long Island to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he was recognized for his academic excellence and leadership skills. His commitment to service led him to provide dental care to underserved populations in Madagascar during his studies.

Following dental school, Dr. Capogna completed his residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. There, he gained expertise in cutting-edge orthodontic techniques, including  Invisalign®, 3D imaging, and orthognathic surgery. His extensive training included clinical research and collaboration with the cleft and craniofacial teams at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP), where he treated complex interdisciplinary cases.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Capogna cherishes quality time with his wife, Christine, and their two sons, Charlie and Teddy. His passion for music shines through as he is an avid drummer who enjoys live performances and exploring new destinations through travel.
