Dr. Lien’s clinical expertise spans a wide range of conditions, including cancer-related interventions, spinal compression fractures, and women’s health procedures such as uterine fibroid embolization (UFE). He is particularly noted for developing novel vertebral augmentation techniques that have expanded treatment options for patients previously considered ineligible due to comorbidities. His commitment to innovation is matched by his dedication to patient-centered care, emphasizing empathy and personalized treatment plans. 

A graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Lien completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at NYU Langone Medical Center. His academic journey also includes a master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley. 

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Lien contributes to the medical community as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Radiology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and as a core faculty member at Mather Hospital’s Interventional Radiology Residency Program. His research endeavors have led to publications in peer-reviewed journals, including studies on intraprocedural pain management during vertebral augmentation and the treatment of rare vascular injuries.
