Get to know Acupuncturist Dr. Kuanping Peter Huang, who serves patients in Lake Forest, California.

Dr. Huang, a licensed acupuncturist, practices a type of alternative therapeutic treatment that involves inserting thin needles into a patient’s skin at specific pressure points. He is the Managing Partner at Uptimised International, LLC in Lake Forest, California.

Holding an additional role, he is the General Manager of BE Pharma. He is responsible for operating regulatory, logistics, and manufacturing capabilities for over 750 herbal and botanical supplements. In addition, he works on compliance to oversee production goals as well as financial revenue projections. 

With a broad educational background, Dr. Huang graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from the University of Massachusetts. He then went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture from South Baylo University.

The doctor is certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, which is a non-profit organization in the United States that aims to “establish, assess, and promote recognized standards of competence and safety in acupuncture and Oriental medicine for the protection and benefit of the public.”

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a technique in which thin needles are inserted into the body and in some cases, electro-stimulation is applied to gently stimulate particular regions of the body. Acupuncture is also used to maintain general health and well-being. Acupuncturists treat a variety of physical and psychological issues, such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain, digestive disorders, and infertility. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Huang speaks English and Mandarin Chinese.
