Steven Keehn, DO, serves as the Medical Director of HCI College in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The college offers a variety of programs in the medical field, including nursing, paramedic training, and veterinary medicine. In addition to his work with the college, Dr. Keehn has positions as Assistant Medical Director of the JFK Medical Center’s Emergency Room, Assistant Medical Director of West Palm Beach Fire Rescue, and Assistant Medical Director for the town of Palm Beach. Prior to working as an emergency physician, Dr. Keehn served as a paramedic and firefighter in Washington D.C. He received board certification in emergency medicine and transitioned to this field full-time in Florida after an injury side-lined him from fire department duties. He also took knowledge from his father, who worked as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon for many years. Dr. Keehn is proud to offer an HCI College Working Nurse Scholarship for anyone willing to follow in this profession and is always passionate about diligently teaching new medical students.
