Can you have acupuncture for fatigue?
There are many causes of fatigue, and I would recommend a full physical and lab panel, as well as seeing a Lifestyle Medicine provider to look at your diet, exercise, and sleep. READ MORE

Is there any way to prevent miscarriages?
I am not an OBGYN, however to successfully carry a baby to full term, the mother needs to be in optimal health. A Lifestyle Medicine provider could offer a lab panel that may include labs not be offered by a traditional provider to assess your over all wellness. They could also assess your diet, sleep and exercise routine. I am a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist and we specialize in looking at your diet to ensure that you are getting maximal nutrition, which is necessary to support a healthy pregnancy. Your OBGYN could also rule out any structural or hormonal issues that could be contributing as well. I am so sorry for your struggles and pray for a resolution for you! READ MORE
Is there anything to do to prevent stroke?
There are two different types of strokes, but the most common cause (90%) of stroke is a blood clot, and this is often preventable with lifestyle medicine. Eating a high fiber (WHOLE GRAINS), low fat diet as well as maintaining a healthy weight, regular exercise, and obtaining an adequate amount of sleep (studies report 7-8 hours as lowest stroke risk) is essential. Avoiding dairy may help as well, as milk consumption lowers an important brain antioxidant called uric acid. There are also studies that show that the more antioxidants you EAT in your diet (NOT take in a pill), the lower your stroke risk (think a VARIETY of fruits, veggies, herbs and spices). Most Americans are deficient in potassium as well, which is found in plant-based foods, and this deficiency is associated with stroke risk. A Harvard study even found a 20% reduction in both heart attack and stroke risk for EACH serving of greens you eat daily - WOW, there is no pill that can do that! A PREDIMED study showed that adding just a handful of nuts to your diet per day also significantly reduced stroke risk. SO yes, there is much you can do to prevent a stroke! READ MORE
Should I get the flu shot during pregnancy?
I do not recommend any vaccinations or medications during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary - and even then, I would recommend that you personally read any and all studies on these products, specifically any testing on PREGNANT women. You are looking for double blind, placebo controlled studies with a significant number women enrolled in the study. You must weight the benefits and risks yourself. It is YOUR baby. READ MORE
