    Yes, it's possible that excessive near work can cause a myopic shift to your prescription. This is not just computer screens, but excessive reading as well. The best thing to do is to take a break every two hours for 10-15 minutes if possible. Go to the bathroom or walk around, get some water.   • Can I wear contact lenses beyond the recommended use?

    Your chance of infection or irritation increase the longer you wear and he lenses occasional over use is okay for emergencies. Chronic overuse can lead to inability to continue to war them for the full day with out irritation. Lastly, most lenses are either biweekly or monthly disposable.
