  • What causes knots in your muscles?

Thoes "tight knots" are called "trigger points." When muscles are stressed or injured, they often form tender trigger points that feel like dense tight knots in your affected muscle. • Does falling asleep during a massage make it difficult for my therapist?

Falling asleep won't make your massage difficult on your therapist. Sleep allows your body to heal. Adding in massage helps to expedite that healing ability. Some say that you can't "catch up" on your sleep, but getting a massage is considered an equivalent to 8 hours of sleep. As a therapist we're glad that we can help you relax enough to reach that state of healing. Don't worry, if we need to ask a question or tell you your session is over - you can always rely on your therapist to gently wake you. READ MORE
