Get to know Dr. Scott S. Harris, who serves patients in Great Neck, New York.

Dr. Harris is an otolaryngologist serving Great Neck and the surrounding communities. He is affiliated with Northwell Health – a medical network of over 700 hospitals and care centers committed to providing the highest quality clinical care; educating the current and future generations of health care professionals; searching for new advances in medicine through the conduct of bio-medical research; promoting health education; and caring for the entire community regardless of the ability to pay.

Dr. Harris received his Medical Degree from Drexel University. He then went on to complete a rigorous five-year residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. This prolific training included comprehensive patient care from start-to-finish in an underserved area and the performance of almost 3000 operative procedures.

Dr. Harris is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. The ABO, located in Houston, Texas, is a non-profit corporation that has set the mission of ensuring professional standards with certificates and memberships, and have offered training in the fields of head neck surgery to professionals since 1924.

Otolaryngology, commonly referred to as Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT), is concerned with the health of the ear, nose, and throat. As an otolaryngologist, Dr. Harris is specially trained to diagnose and treat conditions of the ear, nose, sinuses, larynx (voice box), mouth, throat, head, and neck through both medical and surgical means.

With a distinguished career, Dr. Harris has treated thousands of patients. He also has a number of research publications, book chapters and had presented his work both nationally and internationally.
