A professional integrative health practitioner since 2000, Dr. Joe DeStefano's interest in East Asian healing arts stemmed from years of training in Japanese and Chinese martial arts. Rediscovering a passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), he attended workshops at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA during the mid-90s. After a successful career in environmental management, Dr. DeStefano decided to pursue TCM studies in 2005, building on almost two decades of experience in Asian bodywork and external herbal therapies. His unique massage therapy style blends techniques from both Eastern and Western traditions.
