Established in 1981, Advanced Urology Associates provides the highest level of comprehensive diagnosis and care for urologic disorders and diseases. For over 40 years, the specialists have treated adult men, women, and pediatric urology patients in clinical centers throughout Illinois. 

Back in 1995, Dr. DesRosiers graduated with his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, rotating through Champaign/Urbana, Rockford, and Chicago. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Before he attended medical school, he studied medical radiation physics where he met his wife, who went on to become a medical physicist.

Currently licensed to practice medicine in Illinois and Indiana, Dr. DesRosiers is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology, which is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.  

Radiation oncology is a medical specialty that involves the controlled use of radiation to treat cancer. It is one of the three primary specialties, the other two being surgical and medical oncology, involved in the treatment of cancer. A radiation oncologist is a specialist physician who uses ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer.

On a more personal note, Dr. DesRosiers loves all kinds of music but has a special interest in jazz. He plays many instruments, including the guitar, bass, piano and is currently practicing trumpet.
