Why does my pelvis keep shifting?
There are many reasons for pelvic instability. You should consult a qualified health care professional to have your specific issue addressed. Often, it is as simple as weak or un-toned muscles which responds well to core strengthening exercises. Foot hyperpronation can also be a contributor to this problem. Feet are the foundation (structurally and functionally) of one's entire body. Therefore, imbalanced feet can lead to imbalanced pelvic function. Truly CUSTOM foot orthotics will often help this problem. READ MORE
How do you get instant relief from neck pain?
The short answer is Ice. But the complete answer is much more. Your question should first be answered with another question: What is causing the pain? Pain is a symptom. Pain is never a stand-alone problem Like heat is a symptom of a burning fire. With no contraindications, like circulatory compromise common in diabetic patients, ice helps relieve pain by reducing inflammation and 'calming' irritated nerve endings. More important long-term is to seek the help of a qualified health care professional to determine and treat the cause of the pain. Often, the cause of neck pain is a mechanical malfunction of the joints and muscles of the cervical spine. The medical term for this is Vertebral Subluxation Complex. In plain terms, we call it a pinched nerve. Chiropractors use their diagnostic and therapeutic skills to improve the overall biomechanics (motion, balance, strength) to allow the spine to return to normal. The next issue is to address what has caused 'abnormal'. Posture, injury and arthritis often contribute to spinal imbalance. Your chiropractor should talk to you about addressing these issues. Hope this helps. Remember, ice is the natural wonder drug. READ MORE
