Get to know Internist Dr. Emilio Antonio Pando, who serves patients in Miramar, Florida.

Recognized as a skilled internist, Dr. Pando focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic. He is affiliated with Memorial Hospital Miramar.

A part of Memorial Healthcare System, Memorial Hospital Miramar offers a wide range of medical services and facilities, including both adult and pediatric emergency care departments. In regards to his educational background, Dr. Pando graduated with his medical degree from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba in 1991. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2004.

With over 30 years of clinical excellence, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
