Dr. Akhi-Gbade is a dedicated family physician who accentuates her medical practice with insight, dedication, and comfort. She caters to the community of Hiram, Georgia, and is an integral part of WellStar Medical Group East Paulding Primary Care Center.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia – Augusta University. She then went on to serve her residency in family medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, Dr. Akhi-Gbade is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. 

In order to stay up to date in her field, she remains an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. 

A strong advocate of health education, Dr. Akhi-Gbade strives to impart knowledge to patients about their health. She is practical in approach and concerned not only about the patient’s disease and healing, but also the quality of life.
