At Northwestern University, Khalyn’s culminating research project focused on “Guiding Speech and Language Assessment Principles for Underserved Pediatric Populations” (2020). The project offered an in-depth look into what current speech-language diagnostic practices may be affecting intervention qualifications and opportunities for the underserved pediatric community. She is passionate about advocating for the equal rights of all children within the speech and language profession.
