University Medical Center is a nationally recognized and leading health sciences university. Alongside her clinical role, Dr. Adekunle serves as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine.
Academically, she graduated with her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in 2013. Three years later, in 2016, she performed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. Most recently, Dr. Adekunle completed her fellowship in infectious disease at the Emory University School of Medicine in 2020.
