Dr. Williams is a cardiac surgeon licensed to practice medicine in New York. He is an Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Williams graduated with his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2014. He then went on to complete his residency in thoracic surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2020.

Cardiac surgery is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiac surgeons are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).
