Dr. Guru N. Reddy received his training in Gastroenterology, Liver Diseases and Nutrition at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his Fellowship in 1988. Dr. Reddy has been in private practice since 1988 and served on the clinical faculty of Baylor College of Medicine. He is the founder of Digestive & Liver Disease Consultants, P.A. Upon completing his Fellowship in 1988, Dr. Reddy opened one of the largest gastroenterology and liver clinics in Houston, Digestive & Liver Disease Consultants, PA. For his professional contributions and achievements in the field of gastroenterology, Dr. Reddy is regarded as an icon in his specialty. He is recognized as an excellent clinician, superb endoscopist, champion of empathetic patient care and is the recipient of several awards and accolades.
Dr. Reddy is voted to Houston's Top Doctors and recognized in “Top Docs”, H-Texas Magazine consecutively from 2006 - 2019, as well as Houstonia Magazine 2013 - 2018. He is also recognized as 2006 America's Top Physicians by Consumer's Research Council of America - 2006 edition of America's Top Physicians. Dr. Reddy is recognized for the treatment of his patients with utmost compassion and care. His endoscopic expertise and skills involve performing all Gastrointestinal Endoscopies, including complex interventional pancreatic and biliary endoscopic procedures. He has pioneered over the years in introducing any newly developed endoscopic procedure for the first time to the North Houston communities. Dr. Reddy has performed thousands of colonoscopies and established an evidence based colorectal cancer screening program in the practice.
