Get to know Internist Dr. Syed F. Hussain, who serves patients in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A professional and caring internist, Dr. Hussain offers comprehensive care for adults and the elderly at Health First Medical Center of Las Vegas. He specializes in preventative care, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases including diabetes, hypertension, dislipidemia, cardiac disease, stroke, lung diseases, cancer, and arthritis.

“The first thing I wanted to do was to make sure that we address whatever needs the patient has. To me, the most important piece is not to compromise the quality of care. That is one of the reasons I’ve had patients for many years. Patients are coming back to see me because they have known me for a long time. I have a lot of patients where the whole family comes and sees me” expressed the doctor.

Feeling it is essential to treat each patient individually, Dr. Hussain efficiently diagnoses any health care issues, thoroughly explains all treatment options, and respects the wishes of his patients. He feels the quality of care for his patients is critical given the complexity of healthcare in Las Vegas. He is on staff at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital and prides himself on providing continuity of care for his patients in these hospitals as well as in his clinic.

Graduating with his medical degree from Dow Medical College in India in 1991, Dr. Hussain relocated to the United States to further his training. He performed his residency in internal medicine at Baystate Medical Center.

Dedicated to excellence, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in adult medicine and internal medicine subspecialties.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Happily married, he and his wife have three children.
