Dr. Landrum is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in pediatric orthopaedics. He provides both nonoperative and operative treatment to improve function, prevent disability, and reduce pain. The Orthopaedics practice at UT Health San Antonio is the largest orthopaedics group in San Antonio with a wide variety of specialties to care for patients’ needs, offering advanced treatment for a range of conditions, from simple fractures to total joint replacements, sports injuries, and management of musculoskeletal diseases. UT Health San Antonio’s Orthopaedics practice is located at the Medical Arts & Research Center – MARC at 8300 Floyd Curl Dr., on the third floor. The pediatric practice is located downtown at the Robert B. Green Campus 6th Floor, 903 West Martin St.

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Dr. Landrum attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and completed medical school at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans. He then moved to Dallas, Texas where he completed his residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. While training at Parkland gave him significant experience in adult orthopaedic trauma, he did his pediatric orthopaedic training at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRH) and Children’s Medical Center. At the end of residency, he attained further pediatric orthopaedic experience at Starship Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. After residency, he performed a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Subsequent to his education, he attained board certification in orthopaedic surgery through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

As for his academic appointment, Dr. Landrum serves as an Assistant Professor/Clinical of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery within the Department of Orthopaedics at The Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine.

Among his professional affiliations include the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America  and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
