Well-versed in the field of otolaryngology, Dr. Krause sees patients at his private practice – David E. Krause, M.D., Ltd – in Bourbonnais, Illinois. He specializes in the treatment of conditions of the ear, nose, and throat, as well as allergies, sinus issues, sleep apnea, and cosmetic procedures.

Alongside his clinical practice, he can be found on staff at AMITA Health Saint Mary’s Hospital Kankakee and Broward Health North.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Krause earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He then went on to complete his internship at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, and his residency at the University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in otolaryngology through the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS). The ABOHNS serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Krause is a member of the Kankakee County Medical Society, the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the American Medical Association, and the Illinois State Medical Society.

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists, also known as ear, nose, and throat doctors, specialize in disorders of the head and neck, ranging from hearing loss to cancer.
