She is working with the University of Miami Health System in Plantation and Miami, Florida. In 2014, Dr. Jonczak received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in West Indies, Grenada. She continued her educational journey with an internal medicine residency served at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She then pursued a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, which she completed in 2020.

Following her training, Dr. Jonczak attained board certification in internal medicine and medical oncology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties.

According to the National Cancer Institute, oncology is “a branch of medicine that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. It includes medical oncology (the use of chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and other drugs to treat cancer), radiation oncology (the use of radiation therapy to treat cancer), and surgical oncology (the use of surgery and other procedures to treat cancer).”
