Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Dr. Bogdan J. Nowicki, who serves patients in Nashville, Tennessee.

A board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Nowicki is a Certified Addiction Medicine Provider and Medical Director of Star Nowicki Suboxone Clinic in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where he focuses on treating opioid addiction. He is also a Professor and Chair of the  OB/GYN Department  at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as Executive Vice President for Clinical and Translational Research at The Nowicki Institute. Furthermore, he is a researcher with the Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology and Inflammation.

Born and raised in Poland, Dr. Nowicki received his medical degree in 1973 at the Medical University of Gdansk in Gdansk, Poland. After relocating to the United States, he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals (1997 – 2001) and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (2006 – 2007).

Dr. Nowicki obtained her board-certification in obstetrics and gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health. 

In addition to English, Dr. Nowicki speaks Polish.
