Dr. Vazales is a board-certified podiatrist and fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon practicing at his private practice, Advanced Foot and Ankle Virginia, in Glen Allen, Virginia. He then conducted his internship and residency in podiatric medicine at Florida Hospital (2017), followed by his foot and ankle surgery fellowship at the Chicago Foot and Ankle Deformity Correction Center (2018).
Subsequent to his training, he attained board certification in podiatric medicine and foot and ankle surgery with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. The American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) offers a comprehensive certification process in podiatric medicine and orthopedics.
Dr. Vazales is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and member of the American Microsurgical Orthoplastic Society, the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. During his academic career, Dr. Vazales was honored by Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with the Robert Warriner MD Scholarship Award (2013-2015), the 2013 Dean’s Scholarship Award, the President’s Award of Academic Excellence (2010-2012), and the 2014 Excellence in Clinical Medicine Scholarship.
