Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Zainab Ajeena, who serves patients in Sacramento, California.

A prominent pediatrician, Dr. Ajeena has been practicing at San Lucas Pediatric Clinic in Sacramento, California since March of 2022. 

In her line of work, she had the privilege of serving the community through her role at River City Medical Group from May 2017 to March 2022, encompassing nearly five years of dedicated service. Prior to this, she was also engaged as a pediatrician at C & M Kintiroglou Pediatrics from August 2015 to February 2017, where she contributed her expertise for a year and seven months. Both experiences provided invaluable opportunities to work closely with patients and families in West Orange, New Jersey, focusing on delivering comprehensive pediatric care.

Academically, Dr. Ajeena graduated with her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery Degree from the University of Jordan Faculty of Medicine in 2008. She then relocated to the United States, performing her residency in pediatrics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center from June 2012 until June 2015. 

As a testament of her continued education, the doctor is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
