Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Sarah A. Guigui, who serves patients in Miami, Florida.

A committed cardiologist, Dr. Guigui joined the Mount Sinai Medical Center cardiology group and the echocardiography team in 2021, in the capacity of advanced echocardiography fellow. Her clinical interests include valvular heart disease, cardiac imaging, and congestive heart failure.

Founded in 1949, Mount Sinai Medical Center is the largest private, independent, not-for-profit teaching hospital in Florida. Born and raised in France, Dr. Guigui earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Yeshiva University in New York, and her medical degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, in Beersheba, Israel. After returning to the United States, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident. Finally, she completed her fellowship in general cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

As a testament of her continued education, the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

On a professional level, she is an active member of the American College of Cardiology, and the American Society of Echocardiography. She has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications on the topics of pulmonary arterial hypertension, rare cardiomyopathies, and valvular disorders. She has also presented her research work at national and international conferences.
