What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the world-class role models that have shaped the foundation of my medical training and imparted their surgical expertise. Their approach to patients continues to resonate in my own practice and I try my best to provide compassionate care to women who often have been suffering from debilitating gynecologic conditions. I am very fortunately to work at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore where a strong focus on womens health allows me provide comprehensive multi-disciplinary care and push surgical innovation for my patients.

With a strong commitment to advancing women’s health and a wealth of experience from top medical institutions, Dr. Peters brings a unique blend of expertise and compassion to her patients in Downtown Baltimore and Columbia. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of gynecologic conditions, including endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, post-menopausal or uterine bleeding, and fibroids.

Committed to improving women’s health, Dr. Peters came to Mercy with first-hand experience from Magee-Womens Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Her patients appreciate her approachable demeanor and thorough explanations, which empower them to make informed decisions about their healthcare journey.

Having completed her Master of Science Degree at The Johns Hopkins University in 2009 and her Medical Degree from the University of Virginia in 2013, Dr. Peters is dedicated to staying at the forefront of medical advancements. She completed her four year OB/GYN residency at Magee-Womens Hospital/UPMC in 2017 and further honed her skills with a minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship at the same institution in 2019.

Dr. Peters is an active member of multiple medical associations including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Her research contributions have been published in leading GYN journals, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and she has presented her findings at various meetings and conferences across the country. In addition, Dr. Peters has served as an educator to young physicians in their residency and medical school training, and received numerous teaching and academic achievement awards for her work.

Beyond her medical achievements, Dr. Peters is known for her dedication to patient care and surgical innovation. She attributes her success to the mentorship she received from renowned professionals in the field, whose patient-centered approach continues to inspire her practice at Mercy Medical Center.
