Bringing Expertise and Compassion to Southwest Fertility Center

A distinguished reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Gunnala is making significant strides in the field of reproductive medicine at Southwest Fertility Center, serving patients all ovar Arizona and the Southwest. His comprehensive approach to fertility care encompasses a wide array of services, from ovulation induction to advanced reproductive technologies like IVF/ICSI with preimplantation genetic testing as well as performing all reproductive surgeries. 

Specializing in addressing various reproductive challenges such as PCOS, endometriosis, and recurrent pregnancy loss, he is dedicated to supporting all individuals on their journey to parenthood, including the LGBTQ community.

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Gunnala pursued his Bachelor’s at University California, San Diego and earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ. Following his residency in OB GYN at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, he completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the renowned Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, he remains at the forefront of cutting-edge fertility treatments. His commitment to advancing the field of reproductive medicine extends beyond clinical practice, with numerous original research articles published in esteemed journals such as Fertility and Sterility, Human Reproduction, and PLoS One. His research interests span a range of topics, including fertility preservation, IVF challenges in women of advanced age and diminished ovarian reserve. 

Recognized for his exceptional patient care and clinical expertise, Dr. Gunnala has been honored with Top Doctor Awards for the past three years. His dedication to providing personalized care to each individual underscores his belief that every patient deserves the opportunity to build their family with support and guidance.

When not in the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and engaging in athletic pursuits like softball, triathlons, and coaching his kids sports teams. Returning to his roots in Arizona after a decade in New York City, he looks forward to continuing his mission of helping patients achieve their dream of parenthood with compassion and expertise.
