Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Joy D. Jones, who serves patients in Los Angeles, California.

A devoted psychiatrist, Dr. Jones is the CEO and Founder of Whole Village Health in Los Angeles, California. Specializing in community psychiatry, Dr. Jones is deeply committed to fostering holistic well-being and guiding patients towards a state of being “healthy, happy, and whole.”

In the pursuit of optimal health, she employs a comprehensive approach, utilizing conventional medicine when necessary and integrating innovative modalities such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and alternative therapies. The aim is not merely to provide a quick fix but to delve into the root causes of dysfunction, addressing the core elements that contribute to an individual’s overall health.

Collaboration is a cornerstone of Dr. Jones’ practice, viewing patients as integral members of a healthcare team. Before embarking on her professional journey, she graduated with her medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2015, and completed her residency in family medicine at the Eisenhower Medical Center in 2018. She also holds a Master’s degree in Medical Anthropology from the University of London, a Master of Public Health degree from Loma Linda University, an MBA degree from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School

Most recently, Dr. Jones completed six months of Tropical Medicine training in East Africa through the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Holding board certifications in functional medicine and lifestyle medicine, she understands that healing is a journey that requires effort, and empowers patients to actively participate in their own well-being. By focusing on the fundamental aspects of health, she guides individuals on a path toward lasting wellness.
