Dr. David E. Gutierrez, MD, FAAPM&R is currently the Spine Program Director in the Division of PM&R at Hartford Healthcare. He specializes in minimally invasive and interventional spine, pain, nerve, and musculoskeletal care. Dr. Gutierrez serves as an Assistant Professor at UCONN School of Medicine and previously at Yale School of Medicine. He is double board-certified in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Gutierrez attended the University of California, Irvine before moving to the east coast for his graduate medical training. He completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, where he was elected Resident of the Year and later served as Chief Resident. He then completed his Pain Fellowship with at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Prior to joining Hartford Healthcare, Dr. Gutierrez was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation at the Yale School of Medicine.

Not directly. I would focus on physical therapy and adjusting your biomechanics I.e. keyboard/mouse set up, posture, etc. if that does not help, injection therapy and surgery are reasonable options.
