Get to know Physician Assistant, Kathleen Yancey, who serves patients in Orange Park, Florida.

Kathleen is a devoted physician assistant currently affiliated with Park Avenue Dermatology in Orange Park, Florida. 

Park Avenue Dermatology was founded by Dr. George Schmieder to provide quality healthcare to Jacksonville area residents for the treatment of a broad range of skin conditions. With four locations: two in Orange Park, one in Fleming Island, and one in Jacksonville at the UF North Health Building, Park Avenue Dermatology provides medical treatments for acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, skin cancer, and many other problematic skin conditions for patients of all ages and all skin types.

In regards to her educational background, Kathleen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics at the University of Florida in 2013, and completed her internship as a dietitian at Andrews University in 2014. She then went on to complete her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University in 2021.

A Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) is a health care practitioner who practices medicine in collaboration with physicians. They examine patients, prescribe medicine, and order diagnostic tests. In most cases, they work under the supervision of physicians or surgeons, but they can work more independently in some states, rural areas, and inner-city areas, consulting with physicians only when they need help with cases.
