Her dedication extends to providing disability determination and care for U.S. veterans, and she holds the authority as a civil surgeon, conducting immigration medical examinations.
In 2020, Dr. Mitchell established Families First Medical Group in Jacksonville, Florida, where she delivers comprehensive healthcare services for individuals of all ages, from children to the elderly. Shortly thereafter, she opened Limitless Me Wellness, LLC, a full-service aesthetic spa offering personalized care to men and women tailored to their unique positions in life’s journey, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Dr. Mitchell graduated with honors from Episcopal High School and attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology Pre-Med and subsequently received a scholarship to attend the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.
After receiving her Medical Degree, Dr. Mitchell returned home to Jacksonville and completed her residency training in family medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Prior to joining Families First Medical Group, she spent 8 years as an attending physician with EmCare Emergency Group and the Titan Emergency Group.
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Mitchell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.
On a professional level, Dr. Mitchell is proud to be a member of the following societies: the American Board of Family Practice, the Obesity Medicine Association, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Incorporated, and The Links, Incorporated.
In 2021, she attained board certification in obesity medicine through the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). The ABOM is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing obesity medicine.
