Improving Access to Dental Care and Prioritizing Preventative Services in Underserved Communities

Nicole Savage, RDH, a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist, alongside her husband Jake, is proud to announce the launch of MyHygienist, a family-owned traveling dental service designed to offer comprehensive hygiene care for patients of all ages. With a mission to simplify the dental process, MyHygienist addresses common pain points of traditional dental offices while ensuring that high-quality care is accessible to everyone, particularly in rural and underserved areas.

MyHygienist provides a wide array of dental hygiene services, catering to both pediatric and geriatric patients. Working in collaboration with local dentists, MyHygienist can facilitate referrals to general dentists or specialists as needed. This ensures that every patient receives the most appropriate treatment options tailored to their unique needs.

Nicole, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Integrative Therapeutic Practices from Metro State University of Denver and an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Concorde Career College, has dedicated her career to public health since 2014. With extensive experience in various dental settings since 2019, she has cultivated a deep understanding of the challenges faced by patients seeking dental care.

Inspired by her experiences working in skilled nursing facilities, Nicole recognized the critical need for traveling dental services that can reach those who might otherwise go without care. “It is unethical to deny access to dental care based on insurance, location, or medical ability,” Nicole states. Her commitment to providing affordable preventative care drives the mission of MyHygienist.

What sets MyHygienist apart is its holistic approach to dental health. Nicole’s passion for integrating systemic health with dental care allows her to address the interconnectedness of overall well-being. By incorporating both Eastern and Western medical modalities, she ensures a comprehensive and personalized experience for every patient.

Nicole and Jake, who share a cumulative 20 years of experience in the dental field, are excited to bring their expertise to their community. The couple, who first met in dental hygiene school, welcomed their son Hank in 2023, further solidifying their commitment to family and community health.

MyHygienist is now accepting appointments and looks forward to making a positive impact in the lives of patients throughout the region.
