Get to know Emergency Physician Dr. Savoy Brummer, who serves patients in Pasadena, California.

An exceptional emergency physician, Dr. Brummer is the President and CEO of A Safe Way Forward in Pasadena, California. He has developed and operationalized over 100 specialty practices including occupational health, urgent cares, emergency departments, and freestanding emergency departments.

A Safe Way Forward is the only physician-owned and directed advisory body that offers a comprehensive medical approach to safely open film, tv, music, and festival productions in a COVID19 environment. Every production is advised by a team of board-certified emergency doctors that has extensive training in infectious disease, safety protocols, and operations. They bring the same expertise and methodologies used to limit infectious exposure in hospitals to the production.

Graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Howard University, Dr. Brummer received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine, and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

A multiple-award winning physician executive with over 15 years of medical management, he has served as Vice President and member of Board of Directors of Vituity, a billion-dollar national healthcare organization that treats over 7 million patients a year. He is also on the Board of Trustees for the American College of Emergency Physicians Emergency Medicine Foundation.

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.
