Get to know Acupuncturist Dr. Isabel Meijering, who serves patients in Austin, Texas.
A skilled acupuncturist and NLP Life Coach, Dr. Meijering is the Owner of Admiring You Wellness in Austin, Texas. She primarily focuses on pain management; physical pain from both acute and chronic injuries as well as other sources of pain. She also looks at the whole person to treat anxiety and depression. Her goal is to get patients functioning in their lives the way they have always wanted to, or have not been able to because of pain.
The mission of Admiring You Wellness is to provide a space to facilitate healing while focusing on the individual in body, mind and spirit. Through implementation of ancient wisdom in Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yoga, their focus is on giving the power of healing back to the individual.
With a deep love for both eastern and western medicine, Dr. Meijering earned her Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in 2020. She then went on to graduate with her Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine degree from the Pacific College of Health and Science in 2021.
While achieving both her Master’s and Doctor’s degrees, she became a Kundalini Yoga Instructor and a certified Tuina practitioner through the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA). She also attained her specialization in cupping therapy through the International Cupping Therapy Association (ICTA), and is nationally board-certified by the NCCAOM.
Acupuncture is a form of holistic medicine and a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a technique in which thin needles are inserted into the body and in some cases, electro-stimulation is applied to gently stimulate particular regions of the body. Acupuncture is also used to maintain general health and well-being. Acupuncturists treat a variety of health concerns including women’s health & fertility, autoimmune disorders, digestive disorders, joint & muscle pain, insomnia, and emotional concerns such as stress management, anxiety & depression.
